Title: Sound at the Door!
Artist: lemonade8
Rating: G
Description/summary: Prompt 1. Hermione is a librarian and every day is the same for her until one Monday morning when she opens her front door and finds an unconscious, bleeding man lying on the floor.
Warnings: none
Artist's Note: This picture takes place after she finds him outside of the library and cleans him up (you can see the purple healing potion bottle and the cup). He is Obliviated, and all he knows is that he has a magical tarot deck and a letter warning him NOT to let it get into the wrong hands. They are in the back, hidden from other eyes in the restricted section trying to figure out what is so special about that tarot deck when Hermione hears a scuffle at the locked front door!!! Tools: rendered in Poser 10, and GIMP was used to give him a black eye and bruises on his chest.

O this looks and sounds very interesting. It's a good thing Hermione is always early so I expect she has found him way before the library opens. Which means they could have forgotten the time after cleaning up Draco and looking at the deck...
So the knock at the door just might be someone who wants to visit the library and is wondering why the door is still closed.

Maybe. So many possibilities. Thanks for lookin'!

I want Hermione's dress!

Your paintings are always full of narrative, and this one's particularly intriguing...

Oh this is wonderful!
I love what you did with this prompt and the story behind it.
It conveys so much emotion and a tense scene, lovely!

Wow, nice piece! I love the storytelling you've added to this -- the tarot deck laid out, her finger over her mouth, the black eye and open bottle beside him. I adore her dress! Just the thing for a sexy librarian to wear. :)

First, I should say I'm a rabid fan of your art, and I agree with someone else here when they say your pictures are always a story unto themselves that demand an unraveling.

Second, I am enamoured of the plot bunny this springs into my head right away. Charmed tarot, memory stolen, comes to Hermione Granger when he needs help... This one demands you to draw more of the story (or write it, if fic's your thing). It's too good to leave it hanging here!

Third, LOOK AT THE DETAILS EVERYWHERE! The background is like its own character here, subtle and yet the Restricted Section has seen its share of secret things, hasn't it? Then, there's her dress. My gawd, her dress is gorgeous -- wholly Muggle and demanding your attention in a world of magical items surrounding it. The tarot deck and the box it came in trying to draw your eye to its mystery, as if it's sentient. Hermione's gentle hand on a weary Draco's shoulder, giving him a warning, but comfort at the same time. Draco's head drooped with exhaustion and confusion, and yet it turns to Hermione, as if he's seeking her strength to bolster him.

This is a simply stunning piece. I hope you turn it into a sequence of art that tells the tale someday in full!

Thank you so much! <3 I have worked 74 hours this week, sorry for the long gap in response!

And the fact that you found so many details is what makes you a great writer. I can think up a million stories, but I make illustrations for them and don't have the gift of writing them up for development, more's the pity. And I would love to make a sequence, if my two jobs EVER LEAVE ME ALONE AND GIVE ME TIME OFF!! ;D *ahem* Sorry. Got a little angsty there, you are an innocent bystander.

I love the colors and textures in Hermione's dress, and her pose makes me smile. That protective hand on Draco's shoulder, the finger held to the pursed lips, and that HAIR... :-) Wonderful. (I'm a librarian and I approve!)

Yay!! She is librarian approved!!! ((hugs)) thank you! I hope you never have to rescue anyone like that (unless it is Draco, then have at it! ;D )
